Aria, by Otiem

Your time back.

A private assistant on a Mac you own. She remembers your world and cites every answer.

Aria a curated example

You agreed a flat annual rate with New Form Foods, with the pilot fee credited back if they sign by 31 July.

from: Granola, 14 Jun

Real, representative answers, curated for this page. Aria always answers from a source, or says she cannot.

Why it is different

  • 01

    Runs on your Mac.

  • 02

    Cited, or it doesn't answer.

  • 03

    Approve before it acts.

The product

What she does. What keeps it yours.

She does the work

  • 01Morning brief. Your day, your numbers, what needs you, before you ask.
  • 02Meeting prep and board packs. She walks you in ready, the three things that matter pulled out.
  • 03Document to summary, with audio. A long PDF becomes a page, or a short brief for the drive.
  • 04Relationship and memory recall. Every name, promise and thread, held and cited to its source.
  • 05Image and video. She reads what you show her, and makes what you describe.
  • 06Live voice. Call her and talk, hands free, and she answers in the moment.
  • 07Approve before send. She drafts the reply and holds it. You send.

She keeps it yours

  • Local first. Your world lives on your Mac, not an Otiem cloud.
  • Cited, or she abstains. Every answer carries its source, or she says not found.
  • Approve before send. Nothing leaves without your yes.
  • Tamper-evident audit. Every action she takes is logged and signed.
  • One-word kill switch. Say the word and she stops, at once.

The cockpit

One calm screen on your Mac. The brief, who needs you, and a line straight to Aria. This is a new joiner's first run, so there is nothing personal on it yet.

The Otiem cockpit on first run: a sidebar with Today, Network, Pipeline, Body and More, a getting-started checklist, and a Meet Aria welcome card.
How it keeps it yours, and how it runs

How it runs. Aria lives on your Mac, and a Mac mini makes a fine always-on home for her. Only the words needed to answer a single question ever leave the machine, sent under your own Claude account and your own settings. She works to a daily cost cap you set, so there are no surprises at the end of the month. Every action she takes lands in a tamper-evident audit log you can read line by line, and a single word stops her cold. Nothing is sold, nothing is pooled, and there is no Otiem server quietly holding your world.

The Romans split their day into negotium, the noise, and otium, the hours that were yours. That is why she is Aria, and we are Otiem.

Your world never leaves this desk.

Early access

Get early access.

No tiers to decode, no prices to pretend about. Just a line you can join. We will be straight with you about cost when it is ready.

On your Mac. Your memory, mail, meetings and documents stay local. There is no Otiem cloud holding your world. The only thing that leaves your machine is the text needed to ask the AI a question. Whether the provider uses that for training is governed by your own Claude account settings, which we point you to.

No. She drafts, you send. Approve before send is the default, not an option you have to find.

A Mac, and a Mac mini makes a great always on home for Aria. You will also need your own Claude plan, since Aria runs on Claude Code under the hood. Setup is one install command in Terminal, then a guided web wizard.

Every recall is grounded in a real source: a meeting, an email, a note. Each fact is shown to you with a source chip like from: Granola, 14 Jun. If she cannot ground an answer, she says not found rather than inventing one.

Otiem is in early access, so we are not inventing pricing tiers yet. Request access and we will be straight with you about cost when it is ready. You will also need your own Claude access, which Aria uses under the hood.

Through Telegram, anywhere. Behind the scenes it travels over your own private network and unlocks with Face ID, so there is no public door to your machine.
